A publication of 4 CLM MAGAZINE NOVEMBER / DECEMBER 2024 It’s been quite a year at CLM, and as we close out 2024 and look to 2025, we’re excited about the future: not just here at CLM, but also in the wider world of claims and litigation. One reason for excitement is the incredible rising stars in the industry. We spend a lot of time covering and discussing the challenges the industry faces recruiting talent; sometimes it’s necessary to acknowledge and recognize that the up-and-coming talent the industry has managed to capture is truly extraordinary. The new generation of claims and litigation professionals not only grasps new technology in the industry, but also these professionals understand how to apply technology practically to increase efficiency. They have an impeccable work ethic matched by a desire to see those around them succeed. And while they embrace new methods and tools, they also respect the traditional methods of claims handling, which they successfully incorporate into their workflows. Because they work in an industry facing recruitment challenges, these professionals quickly take on massive amounts of work and responsibilities, and they not only survive, but also thrive. As has become tradition here at CLM Magazine since 2022, we have dedicated our final issue of the year to highlighting some of the best rising talent within CLM’s ranks. We received many nominations from members and fellows over the past few months, and reading through them all has been an amazing experience for our content and leadership teams. It’s never easy narrowing it down to just 10 winners, but I think you’ll agree that the 10 professionals we selected are truly worthy of being called the 2025 “Phenoms Under 40.” Please do take time to read through their profiles, beginning on page 18. TRULY WILD WILDFIRES This year has seen wildfires not only in areas we would expect, like in California, but also further east in areas like New York. CLM’s content team has been following the latest events online at theclm.org/magazine, and we’re bringing you relevant stats, the latest developments, and analysis from experts within the CLM community. Make sure you’re subscribed to our e-newsletters and visiting our magazine website to stay on top of this and other stories. And, as always, reach out to the content team anytime to share your expertise, either as an expert source in an article or Q&A, or by authoring an online article.
