A publication of The year was 2007. The first generation iPhone launched. “Transformers” hit the movie theatres. And a small council that would eventually grow into CLM was born. It’s hard to believe that 15 years have passed since those early days of CLM. So much has changed in the world, the insurance industry, and even within CLM. But one thing that has always remained the same is the passion of our community and our commitment to claims. I’m thrilled to introduce our special edition of CLM Magazine dedicated to celebrating 15 years of…you. That’s right. You. Without you, CLM wouldn’t be celebrating our 15th anniversary. Whether this is your first or 15th year with us— thank you for being here! I hope you enjoy this issue, which is a look back at where we came from and a sneak peek into the future of CLM. We’ve also rounded up some of our former Professionals of the Year FRONT DESK and Lifetime Achievement award winners to check in and discuss the biggest industry changes they’ve observed over the past 15 years. My absolute favorite piece in this issue begins on page 38, though, where our community shares some of their favorite CLM memories. I’ve had so many memorable moments since I attended my first CLM event in May 2010. I walked into that Atlanta Chapter event at the recommendation of a colleague, and I walked out connected to so many amazing people, many of whom I still count among my friends over a decade later. But the most memorable moment for me was on August 11, 2021, when I walked on stage as CLM’s new CEO to kick off 2021’s Annual Conference. It is the job I had never thought about or even knew I wanted, but I’m so honored to have it. Thank you for being the heart of CLM for the past 15 years. Happy Anniversary! According to media reports, the bus smashed into the restaurant late in the evening after hitting another vehicle. The driver was alone and no one was seriously injured.
