A publication of On behalf of the CLM Advisory Board, our over 300 member volunteers, 250 speakers and discussion leaders, and Team CLM, I want to thank you for making CLM’s Annual Conference a huge success! While I was unable to be there in person, I had the opportunity to see our opening and premier sessions through a live video stream. I also had the opportunity to speak to many of you and review the app survey responses. Additionally, while writing this, we are waiting for the post-event survey responses. One of the biggest successes was the addition of two half- day intensive workshops: “Coverage Bootcamp” and “The Art of Fair, Unbiased, and Equitable Claims Negotiation.” The hosts of these workshops spent months developing the content and it showed. One of the creator-facilitators called participation in this the highlight of his career. Your feedback is the centerpiece of CLM’s programming decisions, and these workshops were developed as a result of your voice. Early feedback also showed you appreciated our premier panel of chief claims officers, who answered your burning questions on career development, industry trends, and more. You also signaled your love of CLM’s signature roundtable approach for breakout sessions, which encourages a diversity of discussion. And, of course, I couldn’t be more excited to congratulate Mary Haefer (claims and litigation management) and JD Keister (outside counsel) on their Professional of the Year awards. I was moved by Lifetime Achievement recipient Larry Beemer’s acceptance speech, too, and his contributions to the industry and CLM are unparalleled. While we love to celebrate our successes, we also have our eyes firmly planted on San Francisco for next year. Hold your calendar for April 3-5! As always, the CLM Annual Conference would not be possible without our sponsors, so we thank them for their support. Finally, you are the CLM community, so please don’t hesitate to contact any of us on Team CLM with your suggestions and questions.
